Feeling stressed or anxious? Take a moment to relax and calm your mind with these simple yet effective breathing exercises. 1. Deep Belly Breathing
Find a comfortable seated position. Place one hand on your chest and the other on your belly. Inhale deeply through your nose, allowing your belly to rise as you fill your lungs with air. Exhale slowly through your mouth, feeling your belly fall. Repeat this for several breaths, focusing on the rise and fall of your abdomen.

2. 4-7-8 Technique
Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Inhale quietly through your nose for a count of 4. Hold your breath for a count of 7. Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whooshing sound, for a count of 8. This technique can help calm your nervous system and induce relaxation.

3. Box Breathing
Visualize a box in your mind. Inhale for a count of 4 as you move up one side of the box. Hold your breath for a count of 4 as you move across the top of the box. Exhale for a count of 4 as you move down the other side of the box. Hold your breath again for a count of 4 as you complete the box. Repeat this pattern several times to promote relaxation.

4. Alternate Nostril Breathing
Close your right nostril with your right thumb. Inhale through your left nostril. Close your left nostril with your ring finger, release your right nostril, and exhale through the right nostril. Inhale through the right nostril, close it, release the left nostril, and exhale through the left nostril. This technique can help balance the mind and body.
